Modular houses are very popular now. Among their pleasant features, architects include simplicity of planning, natural materials in the interior and exterior. Not to mention the speed of construction. For example, this country house called Avalon House was built on the Australian coast near Sydney in just a month and a half.
The author of the project is the Archiblox design studio. The area of the cottage is just over 100 sq. m, but due to the peculiarities of the layout and excellent illumination, it seems much more spacious.
Conventional roof waterproofing can last many times longer
Given the variability of the weather, the Australians have done everything possible to ensure that the roof waterproofing of the modular house is protected from external influences. For this, roof gardening was provided. A light green roof perfectly fits the building into the natural landscape, and besides, such a design solution is of practical importance. The fact is that a vegetable carpet retains heat, minimizes rainwater runoff, has thermal insulation properties on hot days, and a protected roof waterproofing can last many times longer. Numerous clients of the roofing and landscape company "TsinCo RUS" (Russia) are convinced of this as well - the only company in the vastness of the Russian Federation that professionally installs ZinCo systems.
Layout features and materials of Avalon House
The family cottage is built of natural wood - eucalyptus. The basis is a special platform made of wood, the construction of the foundation and other wisdom are not required in this case. In fact, the house is divided into two functional halves: the kitchen, dining room and living room closest to the main entrance, and the bathroom and two bedrooms at the far side.
The architects also thought of natural lighting in the premises. Given the location of the building, on the north side of the house, the windows are huge, from ceiling to floor, and on the south - very small. North panoramic windows offer a spectacular view of the bay, which is just a stone's throw from here.
