At the end of July, at the Urban Environment forum in Krasnodar, details of the Strelka design bureau's program for the improvement of 40 Russian cities, from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, were discussed. Over the next five years, it is planned to create / update / improve over 230 public spaces. Among them are 20 parks, 127 streets, 45 squares, 43 embankments.
53 architectural bureaus are working on the development of landscaping projects together with KB Strelka. The first results can be seen this year in Belgorod, Voronezh, Grozny, Krasnoyarsk, Lipetsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Penza, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, Saratov, Ufa and Khabarovsk. The next stages of the improvement are planned for 2018–2022.
