On November 30, the Danilovsky Event Hall, located in the historical center of the capital, turned into a unique platform for demonstrating current trends and novelties of the Spanish ceramic industry. The workshop "Tile of Spain: the art of inspiration", organized by the Trade Department of the Spanish Embassy in Moscow with the support of the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade and Investment (ICEX Spain Trade & Investment) and the Spanish Association of Ceramic Tile Manufacturers (ASCER), were 14 leading Spanish companies. In the hall with an area of more than 1500 m2, such well-known and beloved brands in Russia as Alttoglass, Argenta Cerámica, Azulev Grupo, Cerámica Saloni, Cevica, Gresmanc, Harmony, Mapisa, Museum, Pamesa Cerámica, Sologres, Venus Cerámica, Vives and Zirconio.
Skillful imitations of natural stone and wood, variations on the theme of cement and concrete, spectacular metallized surfaces and original decors, luxurious mosaics and non-trivial design solutions embodied in a variety of shapes, textures and formats - all this could be seen in one place within the framework of a specially organized exhibition … It is difficult to overestimate the acquaintance with the products live in the exhibition format: tactile sensations, surface nuances and play of light in different lighting conditions are important criteria when choosing a finish. An additional reference point in the main trends of the season was the image video presentations of factories, which were broadcast on large screens throughout the evening.
The event was personally attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Russian Federation, Mr. Ignacio Ibanez, who during his visit got acquainted with the exposition and talked with representatives of factories. The official part of the evening was opened with a speech by Marina Zirina, head of this branch of the Trade and Economic Department of the Embassy of Spain, after which Mr. Victor Audera, Chief Trade and Economic Advisor of Spain in the Russian Federation, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech.
A buffet table with exquisite treats, mesmerizing sounds of Spanish guitar and an author's musical selection of a DJ - the warm atmosphere of the evening contributed to free and easy communication. Spanish and Russian specialists were able to share their experience and discuss options for cooperation. Not without creativity: everyone was able to capture on paper their own symbol or sign, which is associated with ecology and care for the environment - a theme that became one of the leitmotifs of the event.
Today ceramics is an advanced, functional and environmentally friendly material that is widely used in architecture and interior design. Contemporary Spanish ceramics are akin to art that can inspire daring creative experimentation. More than 250 professionals who attended the workshop, including architects and designers, distribution companies, representatives of specialized universities and specialized media, were able to see this.
