16 october 2020 in Central House of Architects of the city of Moscow (Granatny lane, 7, bldg. 1) the winners of the competition for the creation of ceramic tiles will be awarded "Cersanit Creative Tile" … The competition was attended by students from Moscow Architectural Institute, Moscow State University of Art and Industry. S. G. Stroganov and the Russian Chemical Technical University named after D. I. Mendeleev.
The event, organized under the patronage of the Polish company Cersanit, a leading manufacturer of ceramic tiles and sanitary ceramics in Europe, attracted interest from the professional community of designers and architects (see the list of participants below), as well as results-oriented students from the country's leading universities seeking to become leaders of the new generations of creative professionals and open up new horizons in building your own career.
The purpose of the competition - to support active students who are eager not only to selflessly gnaw the granite of science, but also to taste the real life of the plant, to receive professional advice and industry expertise from production practitioners.
What happened
In March of this year, students from three universities visited the Kuchinsky Ceramic Factory to be inspired by seeing with their own eyes how clay turns into a durable design finishing material, without which almost no house can do now. And today we have selected three best design projects among dozens of works, and in them all the passion of real artists combined with the ambitions of real students. The fourth winner will be chosen by guests of the event and visitors to the exhibition, which we organized in the Central House of Architects. And there will definitely be a surprise!
“Participation in the competition for the creation of a ceramic tile project for Cersanit is not only an opportunity to try your hand at the profession even at the stage of study, but also a unique chance to feel like a part of a large production machine.
It is in such contests that the student understands whether he wants to create a product of mass consumption and whether he can devote his life to the fiery art of creating ceramics, enclosed in a durable glaze,”says the head of development and implementation of new products at Cersanit Miroslav Kozheniewski.
What will happen
The organizers of the competition for the creation of ceramic tiles for Cersanit plan to gather around the project not only future designers throughout Russia, but also to give it an international status by next year. While the first competition was taking place in Moscow, other activists from the Cersanit team called on leaders of the creative community to join the idea of supporting students. In Poland and Russia, negotiations are already underway with specialized universities. All those who are not indifferent are invited to become part of a promising social project and help students adapt in a professional environment.
