The beginning of the holiday season in Simferopol was pleased with the opening of the new terminal of the airport "Crimean Wave".
When creating the project, South Korean architects were inspired by the image of the sea wave and designed a bizarre break in the airport complex. The architectural rhythm of the facade of the building is set by 136 curved columns, each of which has a unique radius of curvature. This wave-like architecture makes the airport well recognizable from flight altitude.
Facade cassettes "GRADAS", made of 2 mm aluminum with weather-resistant PVDF coating, were used as cladding of the columns, which is an absolute plus in the coastal zone.
The thickness of the metal facade cassettes is minimal; they are assembled using guides. Due to all this, the mounted structure looks light and airy, with the necessary gaps or fasteners, butt-to-joint. The geometric shapes of the facade look natural and at the same time modern.
The creative youth of Crimea immediately noticed the similarity of the airport to a spaceship, which inspired them to create futuristic costumes and conduct a number of photo sessions on space themes, which became very popular on various Internet resources.
It is worth noting that the airport, in order to support creative projects, will act as an art platform for the possibility of organizing an exhibition of Crimean photographers, creative flash mobs, opera, rock concerts and other events. *** The GRADAS company produces in Russia a significant proportion of curtain-sided volumetric facades according to customer drawings. The cassettes already available in the assortment of the type "Gofra", "Beak", "Scales", "Honeycombs", "Circles" are capable of giving any structure, be it a shopping mall, a bank, a gas station or a concert hall, a unique look - respectable, recognizable, bright. Recent innovations include decorative perforation and artistic metal cutting. Our own design office is able to offer the client a detailed design of the facade in accordance with existing technical standards. In-house architects will help you decide on visual solutions, develop the design and structure of the facade, suggest interesting shapes and up-to-date color solutions.
