The active development of the sports infrastructure in Russia is an obvious trend of recent times. Both the capital and regional authorities and private companies invest in the construction of new sports facilities and the reconstruction of old ones. A striking example of this is Krasnodar, which has acquired two stadiums at once in several years. One of them was built for the famous city football club.
The construction of the FC Krasnodar stadium according to the project of the German bureau gmp and the Russian SPEECH (both with solid experience in the design of such structures) began in 2013, and in the summer of 2017 the movie Coach was already filmed here. The main prerequisite for the design was compliance with UEFA requirements, but close attention was paid to the architectural component.
The stadium is located in the eastern part of Krasnodar and immediately assumed the role of the urban planning dominant of the entire adjacent territory. Despite the fashionable trend at that time to build streamlined stadiums, the authors chose the classics and created the "Krasnodar Colosseum" - this is the unofficial name of the stadium.
The Colosseum turned out to be comfortable, safe, and able to host matches under the auspices of UEFA. The project used an impressive number of the most modern technical and design solutions. Now let's talk about the gate.
The entrance to the stadium is completed with a Hörmann HSS sliding gate made of sturdy steel profiles. Thanks to the self-supporting structure, foundation work can be almost completely dispensed with and the guide can be installed. As a result, even ice, snow or coarse mud has little or no effect on smooth running.
Hörmann DD roll-up grilles are suitable for covering large openings as well as small ones, such as in the fast food area. To avoid wear, the grilles are equipped with an innovative hopper design with particularly wide sliding surfaces, which further reduces wear on the door leaf.
The driveways to the underground parking are equipped with Hörmann roll-up grilles, which, when opened, roll up compactly behind the lintel, so as not to lose valuable space on the side and in the ceiling area.
In addition, 120 striking steel doors were installed. In combination with matching block frames, this creates a two-sided flush surface for the door leaf and frames. This is why these elegant functional doors can be found primarily in sophisticated architecture.
