The task is to develop concepts for the creation of a new residential complex in the Prague district of Zizkov. Contestants will need to submit to the jury all versions of buildings - up to 78 meters in height or more. The competition will take place in two stages - selection by portfolio and work directly on projects.

Housing for the needy in Paraguay
Source: arch-sharing.com The competition is held jointly with the humanitarian association TECHO. The focus is on the lack of normal living conditions in many of Paraguay's outlying settlements. The task of the participants is to design a prefabricated modular housing suitable for construction in any region of the country. The winner's project will get a chance to be implemented.

Lima: the right to decent housing
Source: dnadd.org As you know, in Lima, the barrier between the rich and the poor is clearly expressed as nowhere else - it is a three-meter wall 10 kilometers long. Many townspeople who are behind the wall and, accordingly, below the poverty line, do not have any housing. Those who have a home often suffer from lack of water and electricity. The contestants will have to design an economical modular house that would allow city residents to exercise their right to their own housing. Assembling homes by non-professional volunteers should take several days.

XXI competition of the Arquine magazine. Mextropoli 2019 pavilion
Source: arquine.com Arquine magazine's architectural competition has been running since 1998. More than 400 architects and students from all over the world take part in it every year. This time, participants are invited to design an exhibition pavilion for the Mextropoli 2019 festival, which will later become mobile. The winner, whose project will be implemented, will have the opportunity to attend a festival in Mexico City next March.

Trans Plan 2018 - student projects competition
Source: a2g.ca Concepts of architectural installations for an exhibition at the University of Manitoba Gallery in Winnipeg, Canada are accepted for the competition. The main condition is that the installation on the theme of spatial development should change / evolve throughout the entire exhibition (about 50 days). The project implementation budget must not exceed CAD 1,500.

Accommodation for one
© Sana Soni The competition raises the problem of homelessness among a large number of refugees around the world. Participants are encouraged to design a foldable mobile home that can be installed in any suitable location. Such houses should not be associated with poverty - they are expected to be widely used by various categories of the population. Housing should be all-season, environmentally friendly and inexpensive to produce.

International Competition for Grant Steedman 2018
Illustration: steedmanfellowship.wustl.edu The Steedman Grant has been awarded every two years since 1926. The funds are allocated so that the young architect - the winner of the competition - can supplement his education by traveling and studying outside his country. This year, the jury must submit a study on the topic of "infrastructure". Applicants must be able to spend up to 18 months overseas after receiving the grant to complete their study.
