The Hudson Yards, a complex of skyscrapers, services and public areas, is almost complete: it was built in Manhattan according to the master plan of KPF on a concrete platform thrown over the railroad tracks of the Penn Station marshalling yard. The 15 Hudson Yards Tower at the southeast corner of this platform is connected at its base to The Shed Cultural Center, both by Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Both of them will officially open at the same time, this spring. Next to them is the High Line Park of the same authors.
15 Hudson Yards 280 m high and about 75 thousand m2 accommodates 285 apartments ranging from one bedroom to four. Developers Related and Oxford Properties boast that 60% of them have already been sold. Of the remaining, the smallest is a two-bedroom, for $ 3.9 million, the most spacious is a duplex penthouse for $ 32 million.
Just above the middle, the plan of the tower changes from a rectangle to a four-leafed design: this solution provided the apartments in the upper part of the building with spectacular panoramic views and made 15 Hudson Yards recognizable in the skyline of Manhattan.
To lure buyers, the skyscraper received an original program of service and other premises for residents. In addition to the travertine lobby, it includes the 51st floor with a 23-meter pool, gym, spa, yoga studio, "beauty bar" and children's "imagination center". On the 52nd there is a club room, two corner "ceremonial" dining rooms, a soundproof hall for movie screenings and concerts, a lounge with a golf simulator, a wine bar with a tasting area, a "business center" and a coworking space. In the spring, they will be supplemented by the premises at the top of the tower.
