The Bolshevik confectionery factory, one of the oldest and largest confectionery enterprises in Russia, was founded in Moscow in 1855 by the French entrepreneur Adolphe Sioux. By 1900, the A. Siu and K”had a chain of branded stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev and Warsaw. In 1913, here, in honor of the jubilee - the three hundredth anniversary of the Romanovs' reign, they began to produce Yubileinoe cookies - then the factory received the status of a supplier to the imperial court. After 1917 the factory was nationalized, in 1924 it was renamed "Bolshevik".
In 2012, production was moved, the complex was reconstructed, and the buildings with the status of valuable objects were restored. This is how the Bolshevik cultural and business quarter appeared, where the elements of historical buildings are integrated into the modern architectural space.
The historic building of the main factory building, the residential building for employees and the confectionery shop have been completely roofed with blue-gray titanium-zinc RHEINZINK-prePATINA blaugrau.
