Against the background of expressive metropolitan architecture, it is not easy to implement a project that, on the one hand, will fit into the existing architectural ensemble, and on the other hand, will stand out for its special style.
The creators of the Grand Ballroom, a venue for congresses and celebrations, have succeeded in brilliantly realizing the idea of urban exoticism. For this, during the reconstruction of the building for a new purpose, perforated volumetric cassettes GRADAS of the "Scale" type were required.
The new congress hall impresses with its size, functionality and technical equipment. But the first impression on visitors and guests of the "Grand Ballroom" is, of course, the appearance of the building.
Undoubtedly, such a non-standard design of the facade is intended to change the idea of the traditional design of the appearance of an architectural object. Due to the visual properties of the Scales panels, the facade looks different from different points of view. When viewed from the front, it looks flat, and with a pronounced volume - from a perspective angle.
For this project, Gradas also manufactured side slopes for panoramic windows - here they used Bildex ART aluminum composite panels with a coating imitating patinated copper, which enhanced the effect of a steel shade of volumetric "scales".
The Grand Ballroom site harmoniously blended with the landscape of Shluzovaya Embankment, and this is largely due to the skillful design of the complex's appearance.
