The improvement of the Revolution Square in Shuya is proposed as the first stage of a long-term project for the development and renovation of the historical part of the city. The main focus is on improving the quality of the urban environment. Previously composed of four parts, in this project the area becomes one-piece. There is a descent to the embankment, the coastal area is being improved, the boat station is being restored, recreation areas, cafes, shops, new bus stops and other necessary infrastructure elements appear. The inspiration for the creation of the concept was the Shuy plate - a bright and beautiful symbol of the handicraft and industrial history of Shuya.

The aim of the project is to collect two disparate territories (the military town "Krasnye Sosenki" and the territory around the Teikovo cotton mill) into a single central urban space. It is planned to carry out the unification by creating a green axis in the natural zone of the Vyazma River. The newly created public spaces will be imbued with the history of the area and will preserve the traditions and values existing here.
