On June 11, a press breakfast was held in Moscow, where the results of the final of the International Student Competition "Multicomfort from Saint-Gobain - 2019" were announced. The event was attended by members of the jury, company representatives, official partners of the competition.
The team from Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering was awarded a special jury prize. 1st place was taken by students of the Silesian University of Technology (Poland). The second is the guys from the Abidjan School of Architecture (Cote d'Ivoire). In third place is a project from the Brest State Technical University (Belarus).
This year the competition was attended by over 2,200 students of architecture, construction, engineering universities from 35 countries of the world, including more than 350 people from Russia. Participants were asked to develop a project for the renovation of the Crescenzago metro area in Milan in accordance with the city's integrated development plan until 2030 (# milano2030).
The jury examined many interesting projects for the reconstruction of existing apartment buildings and the formation of new residential buildings. As a result, 60 teams reached the international final, including two Russian ones:
1. CRESCENDO from Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. She became the first Russian team in the history of the competition to receive a special prize! It is given for compliance with the requirement of the task, the depth of study and energy efficiency.
2. ARKHKOR from the Institute of Architecture and Construction of Volgograd State Technical University.
The projects of the finalists were developed in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, with care for the environment and the desire to create the most comfortable environment for human living and recreation. It is these principles that underlie the Saint-Gobain Multicomfort concept.
