"Color Wave": A parametric art object that studies the influence of materials and colors on a person was shown at the "Day of Innovation in Architecture and Design" forum.

88% of the time a modern city dweller spends indoors - surrounded by materials, textures and colors designed by others for construction, according to WHO. How do these materials, colors and textures interact and affect people?

Sergey Rublev, an architect, resident of the Port Sevkabel art space, and the Finnish company Tikkurila, which has been creating innovative solutions for surface painting for 157 years, have teamed up and created an art object that demonstrates the interaction of materials, textures and colors and their effect on humans

To study the algorithms for the interaction of a person and the surrounding colors and materials, we created the "Color Wave" - a parametric art object consisting, as of pixels, of materials typical of the living space of a modern city dweller: concrete, wood, glass and metal, - said Sergey Rublev. - From environmentally friendly materials, we have constructed harmonious consonances that contribute to the independent study of the interaction of colors, shapes and textures - a frozen and at the same time full of movement wave of color 2.5 meters high.

The Color Wave is based on shades that will set the tone for 2020 interior design, selected by international experts from Tikkurila based on researching trends around the world. This is a soft, positive-charging color H300 "Lemonade", delicate and romantic - "Forget-me-not" H353, a rich shade of "Wild Rose" N338, enveloping L392 "Ducat", spicy N388 "Wasabi", J407 "Siesta", M339 "Tango", and refreshing Y383 "Cucumber".

The third dimension of the art object is environmental friendliness. The house is a closed environment. The materials it consists of affect our health. Therefore, Color Wave was created from environmentally friendly materials and painted with water-borne paints, - said Ekaterina Balon, Marketing Director of Tikkurila in Russia. - Now in our portfolio there are more than 77% of water-based materials and their number will only grow. After all, safety, environmental friendliness and product quality are Tikkurila's key priorities.

For the first time, they showed a wave of color with a height of 2.5 meters at the international forum "Day of innovations in architecture and construction" at the World Trade Center. Then the art object moved to the showroom of the Tikkurila Academy in Mytishchi.
