The competition was announced in September last year at the initiative of the development company Green Vita. The participants were required to develop an architectural solution for the building of a medical and health center on Transportnaya Street in Voronezh, as well as functional zoning and landscaping of the adjacent territory of the "Brinkmansky Garden" park.
In total, the organizers - the Voronezh branch of the Union of Architects of Russia and the Bureau of Business Events - received 13 works from participants from Voronezh, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk.
The results were summed up in December. The prize fund of 400,000 rubles was divided between the three prize-winners, and one of the three projects - at the customer's choice - may get a chance for further development. All of them are presented below.

The architects sought to restore the lost identity of the Brinkman Garden, get rid of street noise and visual debris, and maximize the dissolution of the new building in the park space through the use of glass, perforated panels, landscaping and biomorphic forms. New art objects, places for quiet recreation, playgrounds and sports grounds, public gardens and other functional areas appear on the territory of the park in this project, which are designed to diversify the recreation scenarios for the townspeople.
Lighting, the visible layout of the park, the absence of dead ends and nooks and crannies are called upon to ensure the proper level of safety. A rainwater collection system is provided for the maintenance of the garden and vegetable garden.
The super-idea of the project is not just to create a new place for communication and recreation of Voronezh residents, but along the way to give new knowledge, to encourage thinking about the important and valuable, to provide an opportunity to leave the park filled and enriched.

The wellness center in this project is unlike any other similar facility. They tried to make a house-garden out of it. The building grows out of the natural environment, becoming its continuation, and "lets" a piece of nature into the interior of the atrium. The facades oriented towards the street, on the contrary, are restrained, even austere.
Architects endow the square with new functions. An entrance area, playgrounds for outdoor activities, a space for a food court, a place for reading and a city garden are conceived here.

The goals that the architects tried to achieve were to create a safe environment for staying at any time of the day, saturate the park with new functions, attract citizens of different age groups here, provide walking accessibility for residents of the surrounding area and, of course, take care of the economic efficiency of the project. Great emphasis, as in other projects, is on landscaping.
The building of the health and wellness center is integrated into the park through a square with an amphitheater, where film shows are held in summer and a Christmas tree is installed in winter.
