A little more than a year has passed since the amendments were made to the normative document in the field of energy saving of buildings SP 50.13330 “Thermal protection of buildings”. And now, from August 1, 2020, these changes become mandatory for new residential buildings and renovations, which will undergo project examination after this date. The corresponding decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 4, 2020 No. 985 was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
In particular, we are talking about new requirements for the energy efficiency of translucent structures, approved by the signature of the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation in 2018. The Research Institute of Building Physics RAASN worked together with representatives of the construction industry, including Guardian Glass, to create a new version of the document to replace the old rules, which have not been revised for twenty years.
The modified SP 50.13330 "Thermal protection of buildings" takes into account modern materials for glazing, which allows consumers to save energy. The document defines new requirements for the resistance to heat transfer of translucent structures for all climatic zones of Russia. Thus, the reduced resistance to heat transfer of a translucent structure Rref [m2 C / W] for Moscow is now 0.66 (previously 0.49), which corresponds, for example, to a window with a double-glazed unit with two low-emission glasses, such as Guardian ClimaGuard® N. For Krasnodar, the required the value is 0.53 (previously 0.34), which corresponds, for example, to a window with a single-pane glass unit with one low-emission glass. Such configurations of insulating glass units are one of the options for using low-emissivity glasses for glazing in accordance with the regulations.
The new requirements of SP 50.13330 make it possible to build truly comfortable and modern residential and office buildings.
