The Netherlands bureau Powerhouse Company was invited by the developer, Uni-Hiku, as a consultant for their project in Chengdu, the new development area of Unis Chip City. "Chip" in the name is not mentioned by chance: Uni-Hiku, in addition to real estate, is engaged in the production of microcircuits. Therefore, to draw attention to the new project, the customer added not only an information pavilion for Unis Chip City, but also a technology education center.

These structures were directly handled by the Powerhouse Company, and in the course of work proposed to connect them, like a pedestrian bridge, a treadmill, which also covers the roofs of both buildings.

The resulting "Loop of Wisdom" offers residents an interesting walking and jogging site, incorporating the two into the daily life of the area. It rises to a height of 25 m above ground level, so you can admire the surroundings from it. The covering is rubber, usual for running tracks, and the length of the route is 698 m. The overlaps above the "track" are made of 15,218 aluminum panels of various shapes.

The bright red color should effectively contrast with the greenery, but one should not forget about its traditional festive, auspicious meaning for China. The LED lighting, gutters and fences are carefully camouflaged so as not to disrupt the Loop image.

When the district is fully operational, a school building will appear nearby, and the educational and information pavilions will become a library and a sports center - therefore, the "Loop of Wisdom" will be in demand for a long time to come.
