Initially, the building was conceived as temporary, and even the new pavilion will be dismantled in autumn 2006. But, thanks to this action, this original work will attract the attention of the public and researchers and will take its well-deserved place among the key works of the architect.
The project is a reflection on the topic of squaring the circle. Parallel walls will be erected on a circular section in the park, forming a square in plan. There is no clear geometrism in them: some of them are interrupted, others - bend into semicircular niches, in which the exhibits should be placed. As a material, blocks of rough stone were used, which should give the pavilion the appearance of an unfinished building. The pedestals for individual sculptures will also be designed. According to the principle of contrast, an elegant glass and metal structure will overlap the structure. The opening is scheduled for the end of March 2006.
