UAE government-owned construction corporation Nakheel, one of the Middle East's largest real estate developers, plans to build a skyscraper in Dubai, tentatively titled Al Burj, to set a new world height record. Work has already begun on laying the foundation of the building, but the project will not be presented to the public until the middle of this year. The exact dimensions of the future tower and the date of its completion are also kept secret.
