It will be transformed into a city park overlooking the streets at the height of the third floor. There will also be an outdoor swimming pool, an amphitheater and several cafes. The project covers the entire length of the flyover, and it stretches along 20 blocks - only about 1.5 miles.

Contrary to the original plan of the authorities, who wanted to preserve its pronounced urban character, the new High Line will become an island of nature, a real recreational area for New Yorkers.

On top of the metal longitudinal foundations for the railway tracks, concrete slabs will be laid, along which the townspeople will walk, periodically finding themselves in birch groves. In addition to garden flowers, the landscaping will include areas with plants that have taken root on the flyover today: meadow grasses, wild flowers and various "weeds" that will grow on a gravel base. The High Line offers impressive views of the city, and residents of the surrounding houses will receive a new park right in front of their windows.

The reconstruction plans attracted realtors interested in its development to the area. It has already announced the purchase of several plots by various construction firms, and one of them is going to build a residential complex there, designed by Frank Gehry.
