The grand opening of the new college building took place in January 2011, and now the complex with a total area of 24 thousand square meters is already fully operational. The schmidt hammer lassen project was selected through an architectural competition held by the college management in 2006. Its main merit was recognized by the international jury as a flexible planning structure, which provides for a large number of recreations, exhibition and public spaces as part of the educational complex, providing students with the opportunity not only to gnaw the granite of science, but also to arrange performances and expositions, as well as simply actively communicate with each other. Much of the space organized around the central atrium also offers the possibility of transformation: according to the authors of the project, their building "encourages new methods of teaching and learning."

Externally, the building, painted white, resembles a transatlantic liner. This association is strengthened by the consoles of the upper floors - "decks", which appear due to the fact that each subsequent level has a larger area than the previous one. White was chosen by the architects for two reasons. Firstly, it helps to best fit the new complex into the existing development of the area, and secondly, it emphasizes its Scandinavian "origin".

The interiors of the complex, which were also made according to the project of schmidt hammer lassen, turned out to be very Danish in their range and mood. In the design of public areas of the college, two colors dominate - the same snow-white and light honey, brought in thanks to the active use of natural wood. In particular, the walls of the lobby are sheathed with oak panels, and the stairs are made of Siberian pine.
