The restaurant for 120 seats is adjacent to the historic building that is now occupied by the Writers' House: however, only a small part of the tables and the kitchen are located in the wooden one-story extension, while the main space of the restaurant is located in the open air - in the garden. The structure is located in a lively place - on Bankova Street, but it is isolated from the bustle of the city: visitors enter it through a narrow and long side entrance tunnel, completely sheathed in wood like a ship's hold.
The area of the restaurant, stretched among chestnuts and acacias like a summer veranda, is outlined by decks made of wood and corian. The “decks” seem to float above the ground: the effect is enhanced by original linear lighting that follows the rectangular contours of the flooring and minimalist furniture in the lounge areas. Above them are revealed light structures of triangular canopies, which can be folded if necessary. The design, as the authors emphasize, has a distinct Mediterranean character; that the restaurant is still located in Kiev reminds, perhaps, of the stylized board fence around the garden.
In addition to exquisite shapes and finely selected materials, the authors of the project also note the high quality of lighting: the project developed by the German lighting designer Ulrike Brandi allows illuminating "decks" in different colors.
