The results of the competition were announced on November 17. Of the 126 entries submitted to the competition, the jury selected 21 projects - most of them will be implemented by February of the coming year in the Muzeon Park. For the "City" festival - the 15th in a row - this is the first time "going out to the big city", to one of the central exposition areas of the Russian capital.

Recall that under the terms of the competition, the participants had to develop small (no more than 15 square meters) and warm houses, in which, on occasion, they could spend the night even in winter. In addition to architectural value, micro-dwellings must meet environmental and energy efficiency requirements. The participants determined the function of their architectural objects independently - say, a micro-hotel, a micro-school or a micro-museum.

We present to your attention the projects of the winners of the qualifying round.

"Egg in a cube". Team: Hiteka (Ufa). Alexey Melnikov, Timur Arslanov

A team from Ufa proposes to assemble a micro-house in the form of an egg from a board and polycarbonate. When the "egg" stands upright, it acts as a cabinet with a desk. But as soon as the inhabitant leans his back against the wall, the “egg”, having moved to a horizontal position, will miraculously turn into a comfortable bed. The third side of the egg house serves as a living room - here the authors intend to receive guests.

Raketa Hostel. Team "Lesosplav"

The octahedral "rocket" is not intended for space flight, but the contemplation of the starry sky is guaranteed for the inhabitants of this object: at a height of more than 6 m, the authors propose to arrange a glazed lantern instead of a roof. The construction itself is planned to be constructed from sandwich panels. This hostel on seven square meters can accommodate up to 5 people.

"Satellite Pavilion" (Teachers' Room). Team "Lesosplav"

Next to the pavilion "School", like a satellite separated from the big planet, according to the authors' plan, a "Teacher's Room" should appear, in which teachers can relax in silence and collect their thoughts. It completely repeats the features of the "School", only its diameter is much smaller.

d-2000. Maxim Tsybin, Anastasia Anisina

The universal space of the d-2000 microhouse, according to the authors, is suitable for any use. Inside you can work, drink tea, sleep, and watch a movie. And from the outside, this multifunctional house is no more, no less a reinforced concrete pipe made up of three rings. The chimney has a window on one side and a double wooden door on the other. Throw such a house somewhere in the middle of a field, and hardly anyone would guess that it is possible to live in it, although temporarily.

Microloft. AB Ivan Ovchinnikov

The house of Ivan Ovchinnikov made of wood, glass and metal, despite its small size, can be called a house. It has a versatile workspace, a full bedroom on the second tier, and even a terrace in front of a fully glazed wall. All this hovers above the ground at a height of 4.5 m on light supports. Two flights of wooden stairs lead up.

"Tree". Ruslan Lukashchuk

The name of the project speaks for itself. The intricate structure of the second floor, made of wood and glass, imitates tree crowns interlocking with branches, albeit without leaves. If you look at the facade of the house, then its outlines are utterly traditional - this is how children draw houses in their first drawings: a hut with a gable roof and a chimney.

Coupe. A. Lukonskaya, N. Nikolaeva

The authors took the train compartment as the basis of their micro-home - small but comfortable even for a long journey. It is a rectangular volume raised on low supports. On the side of the entrance, there is a small platform with a staircase, similar to a railway platform. There is a lot of light in such a compartment due to the large number of windows. Inside, two people can easily accommodate for the night, and more than 4 people can use the space as a workshop.

"Microhouse where it rains." ProPolis Team

An interactive pavilion is similar in structure to a TV. There is a projector inside it, and the main facade is nothing more than a TV screen on which all sorts of stories are broadcast. The screen is recessed into the opening with a deceptive perspective. Inside, both workplaces and recreation space are provided. There is also a terrace and a small vestibule.

Microstudio Seasons. ProPolis Team

Microstudio is intended for children's master classes. It is a simple wooden cube with vertical window openings at the end. A large covered terrace, well above the allowed area, stretches and balances the volume. On it, children will be able to play, swing in hammocks or watch various performances, sitting in the green stands.

"Education Centre". Vlad Kunin, Oleg Volkov, Maria Pavlenko, Lyudmila Malkis, Oleg Raspopov, Elena Kobzar

In the picture, the center looks like a large multi-level and multi-layered building, behind the transparent facades of which life is in full swing. It is hard to believe that all this does not go beyond 15 sq.m. In terms of volume, it is a sector of a circle, inside which a wide variety of scenarios for building the educational process unfold. The authors also suggest layout options for several of these modules.

"Under rain". Valeria Pesterova, Regina Mirzoyants

The authors of this micro-house were inspired by slanting rains. Their object, the facades of which are planned to be made of thin wooden slats, is all built along an inclined line, parallel to the "strings" of rain. The interior space is versatile.

"Microhotel with a greenhouse". Vladimir Kupriyanov

The author of the hotel not only managed to accommodate 6 sleeping places in his micro-volume, but also arranged a greenhouse in it for growing various herbs and vegetables, from which, if desired, you can cook dinner. The three floors of the hotel have everything you need for life - sleeping places, relaxation space, a bathroom and a small observation terrace upstairs.

"Kinotochka". Vladimir Yuzbashev, Ekaterina Borisova

The architects came up with a cinema - a home theater for those inside and an open-air one for those outside. The main facade-screen broadcasts the image in both directions. The volume itself in profile is very reminiscent of a computer monitor, and the appropriate finish has been chosen for it - silver-metal.

Microshowroom. Yunaya. Bureau.

Misha Antonov, Masha Veerpalu, Andrey Kiselev

The authors of the pavilion position their project as a "showroom of light and science." Light plays a leading role in the project: it is expected that performances and workshops with light effects will be regularly held here. The side walls are planned to be made of translucent structures. The shape of the small luminous house, which can accommodate up to 30 people, resembles the prow of a sunken boat that emerged from the ground - or a Gothic chapel, especially because of the spiers at the top. Inside, the authors plan to place mirrors opposite each other in order to push the tiny interior to infinity.

"Harmony". Roman Lisitsin, Dmitry Safronov, Maxim Babaev, Vadim Bedov

The authors of "Harmony" presented a microdom in the form of an accordion stretched out by someone's invisible hands. One edge of it hung in the air, and the second, moving a little closer to the ground, serves as an entrance to the house. The "furs" of this unusual accordion are planned to be made of glued bent beams, and the spaces between them will be filled with transparent polycarbonate.

"Micro-tea bump". Team "Beavers". Alexey Demidov, Ilya Lapin, Elena Mikhailova, David Oganesyan, Oleg Plotitsyn, Nelly Sibgatulina

Looking at the "Bobrov" project, without even reading the name, it is clear that we have a "bump" in front of us, but not a simple one, but a teahouse. It is a reminder of the forest and nature in the middle of the bustling capital city. Under the wooden "scales" there is a cozy and warm room, devoid of corners and intended for tea drinking in a narrow circle.

Microplanetarium. Team "Club of amateurs" (Novosibirsk). Anna Zhandarova, Kirill Zhandarov, Nikolay Navodkin

The planetarium cube, which externally displays an illuminated map of our planet, inside represents a faithful representation of the starry sky. Moreover, both its southern hemisphere and the northern one, since the stars fill the ceiling, walls and floor. The technology for producing "stars" is quite simple: the inner shell of the cube is completely dotted with holes of different diameters, which are illuminated by light bulbs. And they, in turn, are hidden between the inner and outer shells.

Microstudio. Liza Fonskaya, Nikita Asadov

A wooden bunk studio, because of one fully glazed wall, looks like an open veranda or gazebo. However, behind this wall, more than a working atmosphere has been created. The centerpiece is a large table. The walls are lined with numerous shelves along the entire height. And only on the mezzanine is a secluded sleeping place hidden, where you can climb up the stairs built into the shelving walls.

Microhotel "Krona". Denis Dementyev

The image of the hotel is formed by a darkened wood, which the author intends to use for cladding. Planks diverge from the center at a slight angle, like branches on a tree. Deliberately sloppy gaps between them enhance the feeling of antiquity. The perception of the house as quite traditional is abruptly cut off at the moment when the gaze comes across a triangular cutout at the base of the volume: a veranda for guests covered with planks of rain.

"Nameplate". Pyotr Malinovsky, Ekaterina Belyaeva

The space of this micro-house is built on the principle of a Japanese capsule hotel, and the folding shelves are, as the authors admit, the experience adopted from Russian trains. The exterior of the house is quite simple: a pitched roof, "wrapped" in variegated scaly skin.

"ROLLING STONE House". Alexander Shtanyuk

The container house is lined up vertically. The "lid" of the container, lowered to the ground, is turned into a walkway. Behind the glass surface of the wall, the interior space of the house with the diagonal of a steep staircase and "drawers" of rooms appears in full view. The house is designed for two people. The author emphasizes that in the presence of a wind generator and a solar collector, the house can be completely autonomous.

The projects of the finalists will be implemented during the two winter months, and after that they will delight all visitors to the park. The organizers emphasize that all this became possible thanks to the strategic partners of the festival - Microtown "V LESU", VELUX, ISOVER, FORBO companies, specialists in the field of wooden housing construction (NLK-Domostroenie, Drevexpert), UPM companies, Zhidkoe Derevo. RF, ULTRALAM, TRIUMPHAL BRAND and textiles from the ART-CHALET studio.

At the end of May, at Arch Moscow, the jury will select the best of the built micro-houses (including assessing their energy and other efficiency using a special questionnaire). The further fate of the houses is not yet very clear: they can move to ArchFarm, “as well as to other parks, or even stay in Muzeon, or move somewhere to the construction sponsors, if they like it,” says one of the organizers of the competition, Andrei Asadov.
