The project of an interactive canopy was developed by Margot Krasojevic (Great Britain) for a playground in the Pioneers Park in Belgrade (Serbia). The idea was inspired by the Clavilux light and music installation created by Thomas Wilfred in 1924.

The canopy frame is made of wood, and the shell is made of glass tubes, in which fiber-optic cables are stretched, creating different light effects. The movement of water, wind, people, voices and music activates the semiconductor piezoelectric crystal discs, and they generate an electric current.

Electricity drives light projections that appear in context with what is happening under and around the dome, and they never repeat. The use of vibrating piezoelectric crystals allows you to generate energy for any structure that reacts to vibrations and noise from passing vehicles and people.

Rainwater drains into a canopy pool and acts as a prism to refract light, enhancing the light effect.

The dome can be used as a canopy for playgrounds and concerts, for various events.

The geometry of the dome in the idea of a hyperbolic paraboloid blurs the relationship between interior and exterior space.
