Eminent foreign architects - Farshid Moussavi and Kasper Jørgensen - will arrive in Russia, and eminent Russian architects - Sergey Choban, Yuri Grigoryan and others - will come to speak at an architectural conference within the framework of the KNAUF Days business forum - a large-scale project for professionals defining trends in modern architecture, construction and design, which will be held on April 3 and 4 in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.
Russian and foreign architects will take part in the conference "Playing with architecture: new forms, materials, ideas" … They will give open lectures at the conference and will also take part in a discussion with Andrey Bokov, President of the Union of Architects of Russia, and moderator Alexei Muratov, editor-in-chief of Project Russia magazine.
The conference participants will jointly answer the questions of how they imagine the future of modern architecture in the context of new technologies, materials and design methods.
Famous Danish architect Kasper Jorgensen, partner of the architectural bureau 3XN, professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, will deliver a lecture at the conference on "The Material World and a New Building Culture", in which he will talk about the use of new materials and design methods.
How mushrooms and spiders can serve as a source of inspiration for the architecture of the future - you will learn at a lecture by Kasper Jorgensen. In architecture, the word "design" is usually associated with the design of buildings and objects. But when it comes to materials, design becomes a property of the internal structure of matter. The development of industrial technology at the micro level has led to a greater degree of our control over the design and production of new materials. This understanding of design makes it virtually invisible to the human eye. The materials of the future are the reality of today. They are the key to answering the many environmental challenges associated with design. The use of new materials is the way to create a new building culture that will have a positive impact on the world in which we live, both from an architectural and environmental point of view.
Another speaker of the conference - Farshid Mussavi - one of the few women architects, widely known around the world, will tell the forum participants about new scenarios and the evolution of architecture. This is not the first time Mussavi has been to Moscow, and her performances are always very popular. Moussavi's works combine high technology and functional design with elements of local national flavor.
Architectural forms have a decisive influence on people's daily activities, their behavior, thinking patterns and culture in general.
