The hotel will be located on Ocean Avenue, on the Pacific coast. Its 74 m high building (22 floors) will house 125 rooms and 22 apartments above them. An observation deck is planned on the roof, and restaurants and shops in the basement. A museum will also appear on a 0.77 hectare site: its complex will be formed by two historic villas and a building designed by Gehry.
In addition, the developer undertakes to build a social housing building for 19 apartments across the street from the hotel.
Among other things, this project is of interest, as it is located in the city where the architect himself has lived for many years. However, Gehry's most recent building there is his own home (1978), a famous experimental facility: last year, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) awarded him the Twenty-five Year Award for enduring relevance.
