In the spring of 2016, Saint-Gobain's ECOPHON division presented to the Russian construction market a line of new vertical acoustic panels Ecophon Akusto ™ One.
The first step in creating a good acoustic environment is to apply sound-absorbing ceiling panels around the entire perimeter of the room to reduce noise and prevent sound propagation. However, this is often not enough: to reduce the echo effect, it is necessary to use acoustic wall panels. Studies show that using them improves speech intelligibility in the room: children in the class can hear teachers and each other well, and, for example, office workers can talk without disturbing colleagues.
The use of ECOPHON Akusto ™ One wall panels opens up wide possibilities for the design of almost any type of premises. A wide range of shapes, sizes, colors, two textures - Texona acoustic glass fabric or Akutex FT surface - will help architects and designers create an aesthetically expressive interior. The panels are lightweight and easy to install, which makes it easier to transport the material and work with it.
Akusto One is a product line that fills the niche of designer wall panels in the market. Previously, there was a shortage of these materials, because they had to choose between high-quality, but large in size and limited in color, acoustic panels or non-acoustic design solutions. Now it is possible to buy material of the required quality, size and design. The new products are made of high-density fiberglass, the material is easy to use and easy to install - fixing panels on the wall is no more difficult than hanging a picture, said Alexey Archakov, Concept Development Manager for the ECOPHON division of Saint-Gobain in Russia.
ECOPHON products are in wide demand in Russia due to their high quality and environmental safety. ECOPHON sound absorbing materials are not only safe, durable, but also recyclable and meet the French VOC A + and Californian Emissions Regulations. These standards are the most stringent in the world for assessing material safety for humans and the environment. The Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association has specifically recommended ECOPHON materials for use in rooms where people with respiratory problems are present.
