The section dedicated to green roofs was held in the format of discussing the GOST draft “Greened and operated roofs of buildings and structures. Technical and environmental requirements.
The initiative to develop this GOST belongs to the TechnoNIKOL company, the developer is the Green Standards REC of the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU). The company "Tsinko Rus", the architect Ilya Mochalov, the first vice-president of the Association of Landscape Architects of Russia, the General Secretary of the International Federation of Landscape Architects, and other specialists in the field of landscape gardening, joined in the formation of the draft document. As a result, as the participants of the meeting noted, “the roofs were not visible behind the landscaping”.
Undoubtedly, the development of a standard for greened and maintained roofs with greenery is necessary. This was also unanimously noted by all those present. The number of such roofs in Russia is growing, but at the same time the number of improperly designed and constructed objects is also growing. Promotion of high-quality materials and technologies is difficult due to the lack of regulatory documentation - it is impossible for the customer to prove the correctness or incorrectness of the application of this or that solution.
However, in front of the developers of the standard - and this was talked about for almost an hour! - the difficult problem arose of the impossibility to describe and standardize ALL variants of green roof structures, as well as the lack of a regulatory and technical base for many materials and test methods. In fact, to develop this GOST, we need more years of work on related regulatory documents.
As a result of the discussion, it was decided to form a working group on the basis of the NCC Technical Working Group and form a new version of the standard, taking into account the proposals received.
