The 2018 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) National Awards winners were announced late last week. There are 49 winning buildings in total, just like last year. These objects will be shortlisted for the Stirling Award, which is awarded for the best building of the year. The list of structures, as always, is varied both in scale and in functionality. There are private houses and business centers, a philharmonic society and even a cemetery.
Most of the laureates are in the categories of residential and office architecture.
Below are all the awarded buildings. The name of the Sterling Prize winner will be announced in the fall.
