We met Lilia not so long ago, several years ago, when she started writing and editing texts for Archi.ru. And almost immediately, it seems to me, they became friends - it was difficult to find a person more comfortable in communication, at the same time professional and almost completely devoid of the snobbery so characteristic of people in our profession. At the same time, few people could so delicately correct someone else's text and explain to the author his mistakes. We did not immediately find out about her illness, so calmly and confidently she bore it, only absenting for a while. Until the very last moment, we hoped that it would be enough, that we would "sit and chat," as she wrote to me in one of her last letters.
We only worked a little together. Lilia was the deputy editor-in-chief of the Mezzanine magazine, made, as far as I know, many issues and participated in the publication until the last issue. Her editing experience was enormous, and despite the decorating direction of Mezzanine, Lilia began to write about architecture easily and wrote accurately, clearly, without missing important details and without adding unnecessary things, professionally and capaciously. This is a gift and a lot of work, given to few. And she often said that work helps to hold on. I hope it did. I think if things were different, we could still do a lot together. It was easy, reliable and calm with her. We love and remember.
