Residential complex "Light world" I-Romantic " (8, 9, 10 stage of construction)
St. Petersburg, Nevskaya Bay, section 24 (west of Vasilievsky Island, block 21).
Designer: Studio-AMM LLC
Customer: VIMPEL LLC, part of the Seven Suns group
Discussed: architectural and town-planning appearance
The first project was discussed without the chief architect Vladimir Grigoriev, who was delayed in Smolny, probably because of the international economic forum that began on the same day. Its absence was noticeable: the presentation came out somewhat crumpled, the experts asked only a couple of questions, and the discussion did not happen at all - there were no people willing to speak. So the main information was provided by the author of the project Yuri Mityurev and reviewer Sergey Oreshkin, whose bureau was engaged
the first stage of the complex "Ya-Romantic".
The new quarter will be located behind
"Sea facade" "Studio-44", at the intersection of boulevards Golovin and Alexander Grin. There are two sections, they form a closed perimeter, and the main difficulty was that on both it was necessary to place a kindergarten, which they decided to make built-in. All buildings are of the same height - within the allowable 40 meters. To avoid monotony, the architects bend the façade closest to the bay like an accordion, which can be seen as a response to the “ticks” of the Studio-44 complex.
Sergei Oreshkin again noted that now we have to "disentangle" the master plan, which was developed many years ago by the American company Gensler, and also called the architecture of the complex "shipborne", which is quite consistent with the context.
Hotel 3 *
Petersburg, Veteranov Avenue, 91, building 1, letter A.
Designer: LLC "Stolyarchuk's Architectural Workshop"
Customer: LLC "Transtorg"
Discussed: architectural and town-planning appearance, height 55 m
Anatoly Stolyarchuk had to talk longer. The plot for the hotel is quite nice: not far from the Prospekt Veterans metro station, near the floodplain of the Novaya River, opposite the Temple in the name of the Holy Royal Passion-bearers is being built. Surrounding buildings: residential buildings not older than forty and relatively new shopping complexes. Vis-a-vis the future hotel - a 16-storey building with a height of 55 meters, the same maximum allowable is requested by the workshop of Anatoly Stolyarchuk.
The future building consists of a two-story stylobate - in addition to the reception area, there will be restaurants, a shopping hall and a fitness center, and two high-rise plates with hotel rooms. Most of them face the river, while the rest will have a view of the landscaped and landscaped roof of the stylobate.
The plasticity of the facade is manifested by the alternation of niches and loggias - a typical technique for a workshop, which will enhance the lighting and, possibly, the color of the glass.
The main entrance to the hotel is on the side of the river, on the opposite side is the entrance to the underground parking and the entrance to the store, decorated with a gallery, the loading area is from the side of Veteranov Avenue. Also, Anatoly Stolyarchuk's workshop proposes to improve the embankment of the Novaya River.
The project was received very favorably, they called it elegant, but there were a number of proposals. For example, make niches safe - with fences or unopened windows. Many were confused by the unloading-loading area, which, although hidden behind the gallery, is too close to the entrance to the cafe. Mikhail Mamoshin was outraged by the size of the rooms, the width of the corridors and the presence of balconies: in his opinion, such indicators are drawn to all five stars. Felix Buyanov suggested decorating the blind end facing the avenue with mosaics or sculptures, while Mikhail Kondiain considered that the facades were already active. Several experts suggested making a separate entrance, because the current one, shared with the Tallinsky supermarket, could be overloaded. The requested height of 55 meters did not raise any objections from anyone - it could have been higher for the hotel to become a clear dominant of the area.
Vladimir Grigoriev summed up: “by simple means, we managed to masterfully create a memorable image, albeit not radically innovative”.
