“Sberbank has commissioned a new headquarters. It will become part of the large-scale business cluster Sberbank City in Moscow, which will unite the company's structures into a single ecosystem. The interiors of the building were designed by the Swiss architectural bureau Evolution Design and the Moscow partner T + T Architects,”reads a press release released today.
The new headquarters of Sberbank is located at the intersection of Kutuzovsky Prospekt and the Third Transport Ring, in the end building facing the avenue of the complex, 10 years ago known as Mirax Plaza, and now developing as the future large-scale Sberbank City. The total area of the interior of the headquarters is more than 62,000 m2, under the building there is a 4-level underground parking. The implementation of the large-scale project took only a year and 4 months, and "a team of architects from Switzerland and Russia developed a complex plan for a complete re-equipment of the building with the parallel introduction of new functions and changes in design solutions, which made it possible to turn it into a modern, unique office complex," the authors of the project specify.
The core of the headquarters space is the covered atrium, with glazed galleries on all floors. In the center, the volume of the meeting room "Diamant" is suspended on steel cables, shining and reflecting everything around. It is connected with the surrounding office spaces by a passage at the level of the 3rd floor, and the “diamond” name corresponds to the shape, the faceted stereometry of which is made up of triangular planes.

The upper planes of the volume floating in the air are glass, and the entire atrium is visible from the inside. The bottom triangles are mirrored and reflect the floor, mixing reflections and highlights. The volume serves as the main iconic accent of the headquarters space, but constructively it “consists of a power hidden floor frame and a thin frame,” the press release says.
The atrium is also enlivened by the "TVs" of other meeting rooms, whose outlines also have a modern broken outline, and the interior walls are painted in rich yellow, orange and purple hues. This makes the interiors shimmer behind the glass bright and attractive, giving them a gem-like look that echoes the "Diamant" in the center of the space. Note that the same colors are used in armchairs and lamps, they pass through the "red [or, more precisely, colored] thread" in other elements of the interior.
The space of the atrium is light, both due to natural light from the glazed roof, and due to the white color of the interfloor strips, and electric lighting that penetrates the glass of the galleries, merging with daylight. Two walls of vertical landscaping, 20 meters high, and a wooden floor shade accentuate the ecological component of the interior. The atrium serves as a space for relaxation and communication, it houses a bar, cafe and social areas.
Office spaces are designed according to the agile concept, an up-to-date modern approach, which means above all flexibility and versatility. Workspaces “managed to be placed not only along the outer facade of the building, but also along the inner contour, overlooking the green atrium. The modular design of the office area made it possible to select work scenarios and freely scale areas for teams. Each of them is provided with a full range of tools for effective work, several types of meeting rooms and recreation areas,”the authors of the project clarify.
The headquarters includes a multifunctional hall for 500 people, the walls and ceiling of which form a sculptural shell, composed, like the meeting room - "Diamant", of triangular faces - a total of 1136 "individual acoustic panels". Linear lights are installed in the edges between the edges. The hall is equipped with a super-modern media complex.

“Each floor has its own“mood”and“theme”, also reflected in color,” the architects report. Indeed, the interior is rich in tactile and color sensations, which, however, are balanced enough to facilitate navigation and work on emotions, without causing the effect of redundancy and overflow.
So, at the entrance we are greeted by round columns, media screens, immersed in the restrained white, but intensely illuminated tone of the walls, floor and ceiling.
Luminous photographs are also placed on the vertical planes of the steps of the staircase - its black volume is built into the atrium and contrasts with its generally light, even shining range, and the golden glow of the media hall.
Some of the meeting rooms are likened to ingots of precious metal, other cells have transparent walls with rounded corners of curved glass. Faces and bends, triangles and rings, volumetric and graphic "hatching", saturated color and monochrome of white and black, local colors and ornaments alternate.

It is easy to see that the imagery of the interior is not only rich and varied, but also based on the theme of a box with jewelry, which must be recognized as more than consonant with his knowledge as the headquarters of the “system-forming bank of Russia”.
