On August 17, at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "The Best World Practices of BIM Technologies in Russia", the results of the fourth competition with international participation "BIM Technologies 2019-2020" were summed up.

The competition "BIM-technologies" is held with the support of the Ministry of Construction of Russia in order to identify companies that have practical experience with information modeling technologies, and to popularize BIM in Russia.

The IV competition "BIM technologies" started in June 2019, its results were announced on August 17, 2020 at the "All-Russian scientific and practical conference" The best world practices of BIM technologies in Russia ". Renga Software won the Best BIM Idea of the Year competition for the implementation of a project to prepare an information model for a general education school for state examination.

At the conference Maxim Nechiporenko, Deputy General Director of Renga Software, told about the project and its results: “In the summer of 2019, the Ministry of Construction of Russia set the FAA FTSS to study the possibility of conducting a state examination directly using the information model created in a Russian software product, without using project documentation. To accomplish this task, our company, on the basis of the project documentation for the school built in Yekaterinburg, created its information model in the Renga BIM system. The digital information model of the school contains the following sections: architecture, structures, ventilation, heating, water supply and sanitation, electrical networks and technology. The finished model was uploaded in IFC format to verify compliance with the requirements of MosGosExpertiza. As a result of the project, it was possible to formulate requirements for the content of digital information models. Participation in the project demonstrated the readiness to use the Russian

Renga BIM systems for complex building design with a high concentration of engineering systems and interaction with programs for validating digital information models."

The solemn awarding of the winners took place the next day, August 18, 2020, at the Ministry of Construction of Russia. Viktor Pryadein, Executive Director of the National Association of Designers, presented Maxim Nechiporenko with an award statuette and a diploma signed by Vladimir Yakushev, Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, and Sergei Stepashin, Chairman of the Public Council under the Russian Ministry of Construction.

It is noteworthy that this is already the second victory of Renga Software in the BIM-technologies competition. Last year the company took first place in the nomination "Domestic software development in the field of information modeling".

Shuvalov Evgeniy Borisovich, CEO of Renga Software: “At the moment, the traditional way is to pass the examination of the construction object according to the design documentation. The project, in which our company took part, already contributes to the fact that the information model will be accepted for examination on a par with the project documentation. And this, in turn, will accelerate the transition of the construction industry to BIM design. We are glad that the jury highly appreciated our work and awarded the first place in the category "Best BIM Idea of the Year".
