Kazakhstan is a fertile place for the development of new architectural and construction technologies. An excellent example of such development is the modern sports complex "Ushkonyr", built with the participation of the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in the village of Shamalgan, Almaty region. The area of the sports facility was 7300 sq. meters. The project of the architects of Urbostil LLP caused a resonance among local residents, but over time, the ultra-modern style of the building assimilated into the historical development of the village.
The exterior of the complex is an ensemble of cubic forms, the main decoration of which is GRADAS perforated aluminum cassettes, which form a dynamic pattern on the facade.
The sharp corners of the giant facade design symbolize the Olympic slogan "Faster, Higher, Stronger!" The panels, shining with a cold metallic color, decorate huge windows and fulfill not only a pictorial task, but also keep the building cool, and also serve as protection from the wind. This factor is especially relevant in the conditions of the Central Asian climate. It is noteworthy that these unusual facade cassettes are made by the Russian company GRADAS.
Taking into account the level of equipment of the complex, one can be sure that classes for 1800 pupils of "Ushkonyr" will be productive and will bring Olympic gold to the republic, and the building itself will become another example of the architecture of Kazakhstan.
