The architect combined the complex of the spa center and thermal baths with an 80 m long observation terrace, which also serves as a village “square”, although Botta himself calls it a “mineral garden”. It offers views of Lake Lucerne and the Alps.
After the panorama of the surroundings, the main element of the project is eight glass "lanterns" of the baths, partly located under the square. Their conspicuous crystalline form allows them to act as art objects.
A round tower adjoining the square marks the entrance to the spa.
