The building is located in the port of Viana do Castelo, between the ocean and the new square: when the trees planted there grow, it will turn into a real square.
The building is a concrete "table" on which a "box" of the upper tier sheathed with aluminum panels is hoisted. The choice of metal as a material, as well as the communications placed on the façade, should resemble the ship “Zhil Eanesh”, a “floating hospital” of the mid-20th century, which has now been turned into a museum.
The interior provides premises for sports and cultural events. Particular attention was paid to the connection between the internal and external space: thanks to the glazed first floor, the ocean is visible from the inside.
