In the center of the Shihlien Chemical Industrial factory complex (total area - 2 km2) there is a huge artificial lake: water from it is used in production, but, in addition to the function of a reservoir, it makes the industrial landscape spectacular. On its surface with an area of 100,000 m2 the management of the company decided to build an administrative building, officially named "Building by the Water".
The 300 m long "loop" made of white concrete reminded the customers of the dragon: given the high status and close connection with the water element, which Chinese mythology endows these creatures with, this is more than a favorable metaphor.
Building with a total area of 11,000 m2 has two "above water" levels. It is connected to the banks by two bridges. A part of its roof is landscaped and a "garden on the water" is arranged.
