Wienerberger invites architects to take part in the seventh international architectural competition “Wienerberger Brick Award 2016”. Perhaps the representative of Russia will be the winner this time! The call for applications for the Brick Awards 2016 is now open and will run until March 31, 2015. Objects are invited to participate where ceramic building materials have been applied in an interesting way for walls, facades, roofs or sidewalks.
An international architectural jury will select the best projects and winners. All objects that will be among the nominees will be published in the book "Brick Award 2016". A special prize has been established for participants who have used Wienerberger building materials. In 2014, he was awarded projects for two buildings using Wienerberger products.
This is the Paasitorni Hotel & Conference Center project in Helsinki by K2S Architects. A custom ivory cladding brick was used in this project.
The second project is the House of Light in Pula, Croatia, by Andrija Rusan. In this project, a ceramic block is used, which is suitable for buildings of unusual construction.
