Historical buildings prevail along the Royce and further on the Lucerne embankment, so modern buildings are extremely rare. The four original villas designed in 2012 by Lischer Partner Architekten (architects Daniel Lischer, Dominik Bieri, Cedric von Daniken) stand out against the general historical background of this German-speaking town of Switzerland.

The project is located at Adligenswilerstrasse 18 (Adligenswilerstrasse 18) in the north-east of Lucerne, surrounded by mostly dense historical buildings (the proximity to the lake affects; to the north there are already quarters of modern cottages and townhouses). Nearby are the beautiful hotels of Lucerne - the Grand Hotel National, the Palace Spa and the Art Deco Hotel Montana (located on the adjacent site).

Four residential buildings are located at different levels and are successfully inscribed on the hillside, repeating the terrain. The objects are located on a plot of land between Adligenswilerstraße street, which runs parallel to the main embankment, and a blank wall, behind which, in theory, the Rigistrasse street should stretch, the continuation of which was never carried out in due time. The villas, which look like periscopes on the lakeside, are made in a modernist style and are called townhouses in a number of articles, which, of course, are not, since they are separate projects for one family each. Part of the living quarters and the two-story garage are hidden underground from prying eyes.

Plots of land in Switzerland, especially within the boundaries of large cities such as Lucerne, are extremely expensive properties, so the remaining space from the construction of residential squares is also used. A small garden with lawn grass and shrubs has been set up for residents - albeit small, but its own.

Peculiar Swiss dugouts in a modern manner face south and receive the maximum amount of sunshine. From here, the most beautiful views of Lake Lucerne (less commonly referred to as Lake Lucerne) and the Alps open up.

The law prohibiting the building of houses above one floor in the historic center allowed the creation of surprisingly light and light forms, which are also emphasized by the choice of material. Reinforced concrete frame faced with Jurassic marble (limestone) Maxberg. Light beige sandblasted masonry was carried out by SSG. The originality of the technical solution of the facade is interesting: 900 m2 9 cm thick slabs are mounted as a self-supporting ventilation façade, which is self-supporting. And to create the roof used 600m2 facade slab 4 cm thick. Jurassic marble was made from rock (sedimentary stone) that was formed in the lagoon 150 million years ago and was once used in ancient Rome.
