From September 1, KNAUF, one of the world's largest manufacturers of building finishing materials, begins in Russia the implementation of educational projects planned for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Most of the projects are designed for several years and involve close cooperation with specialized educational institutions. Thus, KNAUF has an agreement on cooperation with Moscow Architectural Institute and MGSU, as well as several institutions of secondary vocational education. In addition, work is actively underway to introduce a new electronic textbook on dry construction technologies into the educational process, which the company presented at the end of May.
Within the framework of the agreement with the Moscow Architectural Institute, calculated until 2019, KNAUF experts will conduct regular lectures and practical classes at such departments of the Moscow Architectural Institute as "Architectural Materials Science", "Building Technologies", "Architectural Practice", "Comprehensive Professional Training". To provide access to materials and greater clarity, models of complete KNAUF systems will be placed at the departments. Knauf will also sponsor the publication of the English-Russian illustrated dictionary of architectural terms.
For convenient navigation of students on the marhi.ru website, a KNAUF partner page is being created - together with the educational department "Architectural Practice", the company will create a section where students can find information on the latest materials and technologies and recommendations for their use in practice.
For more than 20 years, the company has been cooperating with KNAUF and MGSU, and for more than 4 years there has been and is successfully developing a joint project - a specialized educational laboratory “MGSU-KNAUF”. This academic year, MGSU students will again be able to familiarize themselves with the finishing work within the walls of the laboratory.
Also this year, as in the previous year, a technological practice will be organized for MGSU students. The new learning format, tested this summer, includes theoretical and practical parts. During the first part, KNAUF specialists will talk about the range of dry mixes and drywall, the features of an integrated approach to finishing and explain how to select materials for rooms with different conditions. In practical lessons under the guidance of a professional builder, students will learn how to cut and fix drywall, seal dry mixes and plaster walls on their own.
Knauf continues to support the project for the development of the Interregional Competence Center (MCC) in the field of "Construction", created on the basis of the state autonomous professional educational institution of the Moscow region "Interregional Competence Center - Technical School named after S. P. Korolev", in the direction of "Dry construction and plastering work ". The main tasks of interaction between Knauf and MCC within the framework of this project are training qualified workers for the construction industry, training competitive teams for WorldSkills championships, as well as developing programs and testing the Federal State Educational Standard in TOP-50 professions.
The project of interaction with the state corporation "Rosatom" deserves special attention. On July 29, in Krasnogorsk, the managing director of the KNAUF CIS group Janis Kralis and the chairman of the board of trustees of the NOU DPO "Educational center for vocational training of workers in the construction complex of the nuclear industry" Viktor Opekunov signed an agreement providing for the development of cooperation, unification and coordination of efforts in training in the construction sector. In the 2015-2016 academic year, a number of joint projects have already been implemented (training students for construction teams, holding professional skill competitions, training engineers), and this interaction is planned to be developed in the new academic year.
Knauf employees are actively involved in the work of the Council for Professional Qualifications in Construction (SPK), which operates on the basis of the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY). Within the framework of this project, work is underway on the development and examination of professional and educational standards, as well as on the independent assessment of qualifications, the development of control assessment tools and certification of CSCs (qualifications assessment centers). This fall, a new cooperation agreement will be signed between KNAUF and NOSTROY, which takes into account the above interactions.
A separate large-scale activity of KNAUF is devoted to the introduction of the first in Russia electronic training manual on dry construction technologies, which the company's employees have been developing for several years and presented in May at the final event of the national championship of professional skills WorldSkills Russia 2016. Knauf Technologies”has already been tested in four colleges. The manual is recommended by the Federal Institute for the Development of Education (FIRO) for use in the educational process of institutions of secondary vocational education in the professions "Master of dry construction" and "Master of finishing construction work".
The textbook consists of six chapters, which include an introduction, the basics of materials science, tools and devices, finishing technology, organization of construction finishing work, safety and labor protection. Three modes with separate access "Student", "Teacher" and "Self-study" allow the student to independently complete tasks, and the teacher to control the educational process. The advantages of this tutorial are its interactivity and application. The textbook contains a large number of verification tests, videos, animations, laboratory and practical work.
In cooperation with the publishing house "Academy" experts of the KNAUF company are preparing new textbooks on building materials science and finishing technology. After examination, these textbooks will be used in the educational process by educational organizations that implement programs of secondary vocational education in the profession "Master of finishing construction and decorative works."
Congratulations to all students and partners on the Day of Knowledge!
