Experts have been sounding the alarm about the environment for a long time. It’s bad with her, very much, especially in cities. But one of the wise said: “We are not guilty that the world has become like this. But we will be guilty if he remains the same after us."

Including in Russia thanks to the successful activity of the roofing and landscape company "Tsinko RUS". Today we will tell you about green roofs of a hospital in Denmark. She was awarded the MIPIM Awards 2017 as the best real estate project in the healthcare sector.
In the western part of the Danish island of Zeeland there is a small town of Slagelse with a population of 30 thousand people. It is known for the fact that there is an ancient Viking fortification nearby, and in the 19th century, the future storyteller, Hans Christian Andersen, studied at the local school. Despite its small population, the municipality of Slagelse is constantly investing in the construction of new buildings. Moreover, the city is immediately built up with an eye on the environment - so as not to redo it later.
This is how the hospital was created, and the greening of the roofs of which was entrusted to the representative office of ZinCo. The total project budget is almost $ 10 million. With this money, the buildings were wrapped in greenery: 21 thousand square meters were created. m of green roofs, a city park with an area of 8 hectares, patios. The site also has its own parking, gym and swimming pool.
Greening of roofs using new technologies
The systems development company has been improving its innovations in the field of green roofs, stylobates and underground parking for 60 years. Leading engineering solutions are always ZinCo. But in this project it was not necessary to "reinvent the wheel", because the customer chose an extensive system with sedums:
• it has thermal insulation properties;
• fully protects the waterproofing layer;
• generally not demanding to care and watering;
• accumulates rainwater, removes its excess.
Inside, the hospital buildings are very non-standard. Windows - from floor to ceiling, almost all partitions are transparent. And doctors do not have private offices.
