Located in the Jiading district, the complex has taken the place of a sales center: in the middle of the triangular shopping complex there is a museum (actually, rather, a miniature multifunctional center) and a garden. Another garden, reminiscent of the traditional gardens of pundits, is located on the roof of the building.

The new building is a reconstruction of the old building. Now there is a museum of enamel: the customer was the last head of the factory for the production of products decorated in this technique, once very popular, but now not in demand. The exposition includes all sorts of historical vessels and even a bathtub, and the customer's son, inspired by the project, returned to Shanghai from Milan, where he lived earlier, and opened a company for the production of "enameled" items on the third floor of the new building.

In addition, a coffee shop and restaurant, a library, a boarding house and a chess room are located on six floors and an area of 2000 m2. Such a fruitful combination of functions, according to the authors of the project, is characteristic of the very spirit of Shanghai. At the same time, the name "Eight Tenths" refers to the idea of a full, but not too full of life. An important aspect: the garden is available for everyone to relax, including local residents.

Landscaping (bureau Atelier VISION) inspired by traditional Chinese gardens and stone compositions; the courtyard thus greened is open to local residents who have appreciated this gift. At the same time, the new building attracts attention with a white facade, a "screen" of perforated aluminum, whose pattern is intended to resemble the landscape scroll of the early 12th century artist Wang Ximeng "Mountains and Waters for a Thousand Li". The very idea of a multi-storey building was inspired by another master of landscape painting, the 16th century painter Qiu Ying.
