Lithuanian studio Gyva Grafika has received an order for a new bathroom design in the Galeria Urbana restaurant in Kaunas. The owners were not ready to knock the tiles off the walls, so the designers offered a compromise: stick stickers on it. They showed panels of real-life houses in one of the districts of the city - even with residents peeping out from behind window curtains.
For Gyva Grafika, this is not just an original interior solution. In their opinion, public spaces and any common areas are often neglected in Lithuania. A person carefully takes care of his apartment, but everything that happens beyond its threshold does not bother him - it concerns the staircase, entrance, courtyard, etc. (we add that this problem is typical for many other countries of the former socialist bloc). Therefore, the designers decided to bring the outside inside, to remind about forgotten spaces, and after the stickers for Galeria Urbana, they made a full-fledged ceramic tile with the same images for their personal exhibition.
Stickers and tiles Gyva Grafika (
