For thermal insulation of the innovative building "Khoroshkoly", built by KROST, operating since September 2017, the designers chose non-combustible and environmentally friendly materials from ROCKWOOL stone wool.
ALU1 WIRED MAT: duct protection
To protect the air ducts of the innovative private building "Khoroshkola", built by KROST in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, the builders used ALU1 WIRED MAT from ROCKWOOL - a solution that is easy to install and reliable in operation. The stitched stone wool mats are coated on one side with unreinforced aluminum foil, which increases the fire resistance and improves energy efficiency. Thanks to the galvanized wire mesh, the system is protected from sudden collapse in the event of a fire.
The material is produced in roll form, therefore it is suitable for fire protection of round and rectangular air ducts.
ROCKWOOL 100: technical insulation
ROCKWOOL 100 wound cylinders were used for thermal insulation of Khoroshkola pipelines. The advantage of wound cylinders is the manufacturing technology: the product is not cut from a finished slab, but is produced by winding layers of stone wool. The fibers of the material are equally spaced around the circumference of the cylinder, perpendicular to the direction of the heat flow. This creates the same density of heat flux through the wall of the product and helps to calculate and select the thickness of the cylinder to insulate the pipeline.
We have already talked about the building of the private "Khoroshkola"; it has its own theater, a 25-meter swimming pool, music rooms and creative laboratories. They study modern disciplines - from 3D modeling to robotics. Due to movable partitions, classrooms are transformed into small audiences for up to 5 people and large lecture rooms for up to 50 people. School area 23,000 m2… The designers and builders paid special attention to the comfort and safety of the students. “Khoroshkola” has long and carefully been worked out by specialists of different directions: architects, engineers, teachers, psychologists.
The use of ROCKWOOL materials that meet the new, toughened in recent years, standards for certification of sound and heat insulation products helped to make the training center, which, according to its authors, has no analogues in Moscow, complying with modern standards and requirements of fire and environmental safety.
