The residential complex "Heart of the Capital" is one of the examples of active development of industrial zones in the territories adjacent to the Moskva River. DonStroy Invest is building it according to the SPEECH project on Shelepikhinskaya Embankment, two kilometers north-west of Moscow City: under the mayor of Yuri Mikhalovchiy Luzhkov, this area was known as the “Big City” - a place where it was planned to develop and multiply high-rise and density achievements of the area of the Moscow business center. The construction of large and high residential complexes is actively going on here and now, the "Heart of the Capital" has already been erected more than half. Territory area - 14 hectares, total area of buildings under construction - 635 thousand m2.

The construction of the complex is divided into three stages. Its central part consists of six 21-storey buildings with a U-shaped configuration and trapezoidal outlines in plan. The lower floors are dedicated to commercial and public functions, the "frames" of the houses are lined up along the inner boulevard. Now three houses have been built along the river, three others are being intensively erected, closer to the Shelepikhinskoe highway. Then on the sides, to the left and to the right, it is planned to build several towers, high and therefore slender, forty stories high.

The houses that make up the core of the residential complex are designed in a laconic vein and warm colors - an interweaving of terracotta verticals and dark brown horizontals, surrounded by thin white friezes every three floors. Clinker tiles are used in large quantities on the facades - a material similar to brick and loved by SPEECH architects for its respectability, tradition and natural warmth.

Meanwhile, the height of the “Heart of the Capital” facades is great - more than 60 m. For facades of this size, there is a corresponding solution with a high visual status: ventilated facades with suspended clinker “Brick to Click”. A combination of Ronson curtain wall systems and Ströher sintered clinker tiles.

Over the past few years, lightweight clinker cladding facades are increasingly replacing heavy facades with smooth clinker facing. There are environmental and economic reasons for this - robust and unpretentious “Brick to click” clinker tiles for surface mounting as part of ventilated facade systems allow you to design buildings of sizes inaccessible to clinker brick systems. “Brick to click” makes the implementation and subsequent maintenance of “mega-facades” simple and affordable - especially considering the extreme environmental and weather conditions of the metropolis. Suspended clinker tiles are perfect for Moscow with its high-rise construction and the preference for "brick-terracotta" textures of the facade decor.
