Columbes Center, a $ 500 million complex, will appear over the section of Route 90. On an area of 6 hectares, Childs Bertman Tsekares offers to build a residential building with 451 apartments, a five-star hotel with 180 rooms and a shopping center with an area of 4000 sq. M. m. The new construction will occupy a wasteland 50 m wide between two districts of the city. Nearby, on the territory of two blocks, a 35-storey tower and several other buildings from 4 to 11 storeys high will appear. The developer also pledged to build three small parks there and build a metro station lobby. The highway was laid in the 1960s, parallel to the railway. Along it were erected the most notable high-rise buildings in the city - "Prudential Center", "John Hancock Tower" and "Jeren Copley Place". The highway superstructure itself will cost $ 60 million and will be completed within a year, with the highway not closed during this period. All buildings of the complex will be designed in different styles. The remaining unoccupied "Columbes Center" plots will be occupied by townhouses.
