The historical building of the master of Catalan Art Nouveau Luis Domenech y Montanera, where the foundation was originally located, is now fully accessible to the public: now there are exhibition halls, an archive and an educational center. The architect paid special attention to spaces for various types of contemporary artistic creation, thereby emphasizing the role of the building as a museum of a new type - a "center for the production of culture".
At the same time, all administrative premises were moved to a new three-storey pavilion at the rear of the site, facing the courtyard located in the center of the quarter.
During the reconstruction, the relationship of the building of the late 19th century was highlighted. and new additions, as well as works just completed with the initial restructuring for the needs of the fund (1987-1990): then on the roof they installed Tapies' work "A Cloud and a Chair" (1990), but now it has been turned into a full-fledged public space and supplemented with the sculpture "Sock "(2010).
