The essence of the express competition of ideas is that the registered teams on the appointed day simultaneously receive the task, and a day later they must submit the result to the jury. So, the task for the participants was the following: to choose a real-life space in their own city, define its main problem and offer a flexible solution for it. Participation in the competition was free, and the prize fund was 750 thousand rubles.
They plan to make the competition regular, since this format allows conducting a kind of opinion poll of young architects regarding current urban problems and at the same time getting a lot of fresh and extraordinary ideas for landscaping. In total, the organizers received 629 applications for participation, 126 works underwent technical expertise.
We present the works that won prizes and were awarded special mentions. Their and 24 other selected ideas are planned to be published in a special collection.
