In Nizhny Novgorod, a traditional festival is timed to this event, the program of which will last for three weeks this year. Curator Nikolai Malinin will bring his Moscow exhibition “Will Price. Parallels. Wooden architecture yesterday, today and everywhere. The Strelka Institute will show creative research of the Nizhny Novgorod port space, carried out by students under the guidance of the French artist Xavier Jujo, and the young German urbanist and architect Thomas Shtelmach will hold a round table on the complex development of the island and the so-called territory Grebnevsky sands on the Oka.
The largest European exhibition and congress in the field of preservation, restoration and reconstruction of heritage DENKMAL-Moscow 2011 opens in the Moscow Manege on October 29. The exhibition is held every two years in Leipzig, and in the intervening years it travels around the world. A unique conference on the problems of Christian underground cult complexes of Ancient Rus and Byzantium will be held from 28 to 30 September in Saransk. For the first time, scientists-archaeologists and amateur speleostologists will gather to share the collected material that has not yet been introduced into scientific circulation. In various sections, the participants will discuss the peculiarities of underground Christian architecture, the construction of cave churches and monasteries, and the problems of cataloging the found objects.
Architectural events will take place next week in Moscow and as part of two non-core events. At the Festival of New Culture in the Central House of Artists on September 24 and 25, a film screening "City as a playground" and a round table "Moscow. Freedom of movement”, telling about an original way of comprehending the urban environment called parkour.
