The complex, with a total area of 4,500 square meters and a cost of DKK 65 million, should include not only a developed conference area, an office center and a hotel, but also several greenhouses that will grow fruits and vegetables for a local restaurant.
The office and hotel block is a parallelepiped, while the conference center and restaurant resemble an open fan in plan, in which segments of auditoriums and dining rooms alternate each other. The parts of the complex are interconnected by a covered walkway. Visually, these volumes are related by the multi-slope, as if corrugated roof.
The uniqueness of the project is that absolutely everything in the future building is subordinated to the idea of renewable resources - it is no coincidence that William McDonagh, one of the world's leading architects engaged in the design of "green" buildings, was involved in its development. In particular, the Green Solution House not only provides for the use of solar panels, natural ventilation and water recycling systems already traditional for this genre, but it will itself be completely built from environmentally friendly and recyclable materials.
The well-thought-out shape of the roof and the special construction of the walls will avoid heat loss. In addition, its interior layout will be able to change depending on the season - rooms that need maximum natural light will “move” within buildings following the sun.
It is assumed that the Green Solution House will become not only a venue for international conferences and seminars, but also a unique showroom that demonstrates all the wealth of green technologies used in modern construction. “We aimed to design a building that not only does not harm the environment, but contributes to its qualitative improvement,” say the architects. And that is why they do not intend to "freeze" the project in the form in which it is now approved - on the contrary, during the entire period of operation of the Green Solution House, it is planned to actively supplement
