Famous for the beauty of its landscapes, the Lofoten Archipelago is one of the National Tourist Routes of Norway, therefore, despite its location off the north-western coast of the country, it is quite accessible to visit.
The Lofoten Opera Hotel will appear in the Glopen area near the village of Sørvogen on the island of Moskenesøy, next to which is the Malstrom whirlpool. The building will be erected between the ocean and the mountains, "among the elements." Its rounded shape seems to embrace the majestic landscape around.
The hotel, with its wood paneling, is reminiscent of traditional log houses and local “seaside culture”. Around the 11,000 m2 courtyard there will be hotel rooms, apartments, a spa center, swimming pools with sea water, and a hiking center. An outdoor amphitheater is also provided.
Construction should begin this year.
